SIZING GUIDE

The Flak Jak™ 1000 Chest Protector is a continuation of the classic Flak Jak™ design. It has all the great features of our past designs, like; the genuine clear anatomically molded panels that have twice the impact strength of solid plastic and the pivoting shoulder straps that allows the Flak Jak™ to conform to your body's natural shape. Included, is our original Suspended Shoulder system. Engineered as a cantileaver which keeps the plastic shoulder cap off of your shoulder. In the case of an impact, the energy is dispersed across the whole area rather than one spot. This design is featured in our Flak Jak IMS and 1000's.

PROPER FLAK JAK ADJUSTMENTS

For best performance from your FLAK JAK™ make sure it's adjusted to fit you perfectly.
There are 3 adjustment slots on each shoulder strap so you can fine tune both front and rear FLAK JAK™ shoulder and body panel positioning.
Simply turn your FLAK JAK™ inside out and see how the 4 attachment clips are positioned (standard setting is in the middle) in the shoulder cup.
Now either move the clip up or down in the slot provided to lighten or loosen the fit between the shoulder cap and body panel.

PROPER CLEANING

WARNING: Use of any fuels, chemicals, solvents, or cleaners (other than those available through HRP Sports) to clean your FLAK JAK™ Chest Protector will cause damage and void all warranties provided.
For best results first spray your FLAK JAK™ Chest Protector with clear water to remove all excess loose dirt, debris, roost, or bike parts.
For more firmly attached soil or knobby marks use a soft cotton cloth or sponge soaked with water and scrub gently.
Cleaning your FLAK JAK™ Chest Protector without rinsing or using sufficient amounts of water will quickly scratch and deteriorate the finish.
Finally rinse your FLAK JAK™ Chest Protector with clear water and hang dry. While still damp you can polish with a soft cotton cloth to remove water drops.

FORM FITTING BICEP: ONE-WAY SNAP SYSTEM

If you look under the cap piece, you will see that inside the female black cap, there is a little metal tab, this is there to secure the male part of the snap so that it doesn't come undone when riding.
To fasten the male into the cap portion, you make sure that the male snap fits under the tab and then it snaps in easy.
To unfasten the snap, you need hold your thumb and turn the male part 180 degrees away from the tab and lift. The female tab is always facing the outside of the cap.
